Dog Training Bring out the best in your dog's natural abilities through professional training. At QVRS we encourage owner participation to promote a maximum hunting experience. Individual training sessions are available if you need help in a particular area with your dog's training. In order to bring our guests the best in gun dog training, we have partnered with Nickel Creek Gun Dogs. Nickel Creek Gun Dogs is owned and operated by John Augustine. John has more than 16 years of experience training different types of gun dogs. His experience includes 5 years as a Field Trial Trainer for Purina. Nickel Creek Gun Dogs specializes in breeding and training pointing breeds including German Shorthair Pointers and English Setters. John's dogs are trained to be exceptional bird hunters, superb field trialers and excellent family pets. John serves as our on-site trainer, and is available during the week for dedicated puppy and adult gun dog training sessions. On the weekends, Jerry Yokum is available for owner consultations and one-on-one training sessions. Pricing Training services are available on a per session or per month basis. Individual training sessions are $60/session and birds are sold separately at a discounted rate (see below). Monthly training packages start at $550 per month and $300 per half month and include full boarding.
